WAUSAU, WI (Saturday, July 9, 2016) Wausau’s own Lyle Nowak returned to the Quest Industrial Mid-American Stock Car Series and scored the win in the 75 lap main event at State Park Speedway on Saturday, July 9. Nowak’s win gave him three straight Mid-American Series feature wins at his home track.
The Quest Industrial Mid-American Stock Car Series is all set to roll into State Park Speedway in Wausau, WI this Saturday night, July 9. After a couple weeks off since last racing at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, IA, the drivers are more than ready to get back to action. This includes series point leader, Ryan Gutknecht. Ryan is fresh off his second feature win of the 2016 season after a late race pass on Kenny Joosten netted him the lead and the win at Hawkeye Downs. Ryan will look to extend his lead in the standings while the top five in points remain very close. Bobby Gutknecht sits in second, a mere 36 points back from the top spot. Joosten, Bill Prietzel and Rick Tackman Jr all reside in the top five as well with eight races still remaining on the schedule.
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (Friday, June 17, 2016) The Quest Industrial Mid-American Stock Car Series paid a visit to the historic Hawkeye Downs Speedway on Friday, June 17, to compete on the half mile oval in its 91st season of racing. Ryan Gutknecht of Oak Creek, WI, took control just after the half way point of the 40 lap feature and drove away to grab the victory.
